why pound marketing

My career began when I had the incredible fortune to intern and then lead the marketing team at InterAct Conferencing, a successful startup in Atlanta, nearly 20 years ago. That experience set me on a path that has been my passion ever since - driving marketing strategy for fast growth, technology companies.  

The idea for Pound Marketing came when I found myself looking for a new opportunity - you don't always pick winners in the startup world. In my experience, there are two recurring challenges that many early stage and fast growth companies face - talent and resources. This is uniquely challenging in marketing because the assumption is either marketing is so easy anyone can do it (talent) OR its so expensive and we don't have the money (resources).

Pound Marketing gives you access to experienced talent without the investment of significant resources.  

 

WHAT'S IN A NAME

As a Marketer, there is an expectation of being clever and hoping the URL isn't taken. I was able to get the URL and the other is entirely subjective. The definition of POUND has many meanings. 

  • It is a measure of WEIGHT
  • a measure of VALUE
  • a SYMBOL of trending 
  • a forcible ACTION
